My article, “টেকসই শিক্ষকতা: শুধু পাঠদান নয়, ভবিষ্যৎ নির্মাণেরও প্রশ্ন” (Sustainable Teaching: Not Only Teaching Lessons, But Also Shaping the Future), was published today (18 May 2026) in The Daily Asia Bani.
The piece reflects on a question that stays at the centre of education but is often ignored in practice; teaching is not only the transfer of knowledge; it is also the slow and difficult work of shaping people, values, imagination, and the future itself.
When teachers are forced to survive within exhaustion, instability, and constant pressure, the crisis eventually reaches the classroom. Sustainable education is impossible without sustainable teachers.
Our discussions on education reform still focus heavily on curriculum, exams, and outcomes. But sometimes the deeper question remains untouched: what kind of humans are we helping shape through our education system?
